January 2022 Digital Release Weekend from Sweet Sentiments Stamps.

It's here it's the first digital release for Sweet Sentiments Stamps. This month we have two stamps being released Happy Bandit and Quarantine Man. This lovely Raccoon was such fun to colour that I've made two different cards.

I decided to do a Valentines DL Card.  I coloured this little guy again with Tri-Blend Pens which are such an easy option if you are new to colouring.  Again I used Serif Craft Artist 2 and used a splatter background I had plus the You was a sentiment I had already.

Once he was coloured it was over to my Scan'N'Cut I used this to cut-out the Raccoon with a 2mm boarder.  I also used the built in Font and cut out the LVE which were 7cm tall. Then it was just a case of doing a mat and layer on the card and use 2mm foam tape to add the letters and Raccoon etc.

Card Number 2

I love digital stamps as they give you so much flexibility.  I started of using Serif Craft Artist 2, my card is going to be A5 (this is a A4 folded in half). I drew a A5 box which I centred so I knew what my working area was.  Now I wanted to make a topper that would be a inch smaller so I drew another box this size.  This is going to be were my stamp images are going to be.

I copied this page so I could use this as my stamping area, I first removed the A5 box as I don't need this.  I brought in the stamp and reduced the size a bit, I started in one corner once I was happy with the size I used the stamp option in Cap to make 3 more copies of this stamp.  I took the first on and flipped and turn each one until it was in the correct direction. Once placed and I was happy with each one I highlighted the lot and grouped it.

Now its important that the box for your topper is also included when you select the stamps as we need to to group then convert to a picture (also called flattening the image).  Make sure your new image is highlighted as we now need to crop it. Click on the crop tool and bring each side up to the box so you just have the box left with the stamps in the middle. Again go to the convert to picture you can export this now as a png image (using png keeps the background invisible).

I used a digital backing paper and sentiment next.  I just brought both over then place my stamped topper on top. It was just a case of adjusting the size then printing out.  I then used the same colours I used before and coloured him in. I just then cut the topper out making sure to also cut off the box. I mounted this onto of white card.  I used a Tattered Lace die for the background mounted onto a pale background paper.  I used 2mm foam tape to attach the topper to the centre of the card.
