June Released Weekend for Sweet Sentiment Stamps - Second Card RAWR

Image
Well its release weekend and I have a pop up card I made using the Sweet Sentiment stamp set called RAWR. I made this card for our friends little girl's 3rd Birthday, as she is a right tomboy and I thought this was so her. She loved it and it has pride of place on the windowsill. I used another kit I already had for the papers etc (its from Polkadoodles called Sticks and Stones). This was all cut out with my Scan'n'Cut using the SVG template for the base card which was purchased from Creative Fabrica. Once everything was cut out it was just a case of using construction weight acetate to make tabs to stick onto the panels. This show's the card folded flat as you can see everything flattens down. I took an A4 envelope and just took about an inch of from one side. Glued it back together and my card fitted in lovely. The other option would be to make a box for this. New stamps set from Sweet Sentiment Stamps called Sentimental Susan. I've been wanting to have ago at making 3D flowers and thought this was the ideal stamp. I did a colour wash over this shimmer paper (Pink Frog Crafts Ice Gold A4 Paper Collection - 120gsm) then once dry I stamps the flowers and leaves. You could also use a colour wash digital paper and print that onto the paper.  I had to cut these out by hand as my Scan'n'Cut couldn't see the lines. But it was easy to do, just took a bit time. I used a A5 card blank and cut a panel for the front, which I added a bit of shading to using yellows inks. I then used Pinflair Glue Gel to stick the flowers together then I stuck these down and added the leaves and the swirl. After I was happy with the layout I added some glitter gems to the centres of each flower. The sentiment was a digital one I had on my computer.  This was then left over night to dry you need to leave any glue gel for at least 12hrs before you move it in...
