It's June release Day at Sweet Sentiment Stamps

New stamps set from Sweet Sentiment Stamps called Sentimental Susan. I've been wanting to have ago at making 3D flowers and thought this was the ideal stamp.

I did a colour wash over this shimmer paper (Pink Frog Crafts Ice Gold A4 Paper Collection - 120gsm) then once dry I stamps the flowers and leaves. You could also use a colour wash digital paper and print that onto the paper.  I had to cut these out by hand as my Scan'n'Cut couldn't see the lines. But it was easy to do, just took a bit time.



I used a A5 card blank and cut a panel for the front, which I added a bit of shading to using yellows inks. I then used Pinflair Glue Gel to stick the flowers together then I stuck these down and added the leaves and the swirl. After I was happy with the layout I added some glitter gems to the centres of each flower. The sentiment was a digital one I had on my computer.  This was then left over night to dry you need to leave any glue gel for at least 12hrs before you move it in any way.

Here's my DT card for the digital release, this is Naptime.  This card show's just how diverse digital stamps can be as the original is just the bunny and 1 carrot. So I used my graphics program (CraftArtist) and come up with this composition. As you can see I loved that I could have so many different size carrots going in all direction too.  Once coloured I used my Scan'n'Cut to cut every thing out. The sentiment is from a Easter bundle purchased from Design Bundles. I used a small piece of acetate to create a hinge for this card stick between the mats. Digital and hand coloured Card

I've been having a play with the newly released Plans with my Cat digital stamp! I wanted to show that you can mix full on digital and hand colouring together.  In this card the cat has been coloured but the background is all created digitally then printed. I wanted to show that you can produce a background using kits with your computer as maybe you don't have many supplies or just just don't like doing background. I used a digital kit I already had that has the separate embellishments.  Kit used was Polkadoodles Horace & Boo Collection. New Release Day

Well its that time of the month again when Sweet Sentiment bring out new stamps. I've also moved over to the main DT as it gives me more scope and more designs to play with.   This month I've chosen the Swamped Stamps set as these cute guys.  I also thought this would be good for male cards and Fathers Day isn't that far off.  Aren't these stamps just so cute! My First cards, I've done a splodgy wash background with watercolours and added some splodges too.  The white circles are dies cuts (dies from Carnation Crafts - Eyelet & Ring Collection) and I had some waterdrop beans from my stash. Matted onto a 6in card. This is my second card this time I've got a very faint wash behind the circle die cut I coloured in the characters using Tri-Blend Pens I used my scan'n'cut to cut them out with a 2mm boarder.
