Affable Anemone done two ways

The new stamps from Sweet Sentiment Stamps Affable Anemone is so versatile. I love having a play with flower stamps and this time I have also had a play around with the layout using the same colours etc. I am please with how these have turned out but I can't make my mind up which I prefer.  

I started by stamping out these stamps using my stamp press and masks, I did the landscape version first and was looking at it and thought it would also work on its side (I usually do a copy of versions when I do stamping as it mains I have one to fall back on if I don't like how it colours up). At the moment I'm into using my watercolour paints and love the look you get from it. I also did a wash in the back ground just to soften the paper.




There is such a beautiful sentiment included with these stamps that I just had to use it.  This time I stamped out the sentiment and then cut them out into strips (I used to do this a lot when scrapbooked).  This then gave me the freedom to place in different places. I did this twice so I could use on both cards. 

The Sympathy sentiment is heat embossed, I stamped with a black ink then put fine clear embossing powder over it (it's very hard getting a nice crisp line with black embossing powder, so it worth stamping with a fine black ink and using clear on top). 



As you can see also the same colours and elements have been used its give a totally different look. Leave a comment telling me which you prefer!

I've been having a play with the newly released Plans with my Cat digital stamp! I wanted to show that you can mix full on digital and hand colouring together.  In this card the cat has been coloured but the background is all created digitally then printed. I wanted to show that you can produce a background using kits with your computer as maybe you don't have many supplies or just just don't like doing background. I used a digital kit I already had that has the separate embellishments.  Kit used was Polkadoodles Horace & Boo Collection. New Release Day

Well its that time of the month again when Sweet Sentiment bring out new stamps. I've also moved over to the main DT as it gives me more scope and more designs to play with.   This month I've chosen the Swamped Stamps set as these cute guys.  I also thought this would be good for male cards and Fathers Day isn't that far off.  Aren't these stamps just so cute! My First cards, I've done a splodgy wash background with watercolours and added some splodges too.  The white circles are dies cuts (dies from Carnation Crafts - Eyelet & Ring Collection) and I had some waterdrop beans from my stash. Matted onto a 6in card. This is my second card this time I've got a very faint wash behind the circle die cut I coloured in the characters using Tri-Blend Pens I used my scan'n'cut to cut them out with a 2mm boarder. Not been the best month

Well I will be so glad when February is over with.  What with trying to slice my thumb off with a mandolin I have for the last 2 weeks been suffering with a bad cold, luckily it wasn't Covid but it was bad enough.  I'm still not really over it but getting better everyday.
