Affable Anemone done two ways

The new stamps from Sweet Sentiment Stamps Affable Anemone is so versatile. I love having a play with flower stamps and this time I have also had a play around with the layout using the same colours etc. I am please with how these have turned out but I can't make my mind up which I prefer.  

I started by stamping out these stamps using my stamp press and masks, I did the landscape version first and was looking at it and thought it would also work on its side (I usually do a copy of versions when I do stamping as it mains I have one to fall back on if I don't like how it colours up). At the moment I'm into using my watercolour paints and love the look you get from it. I also did a wash in the back ground just to soften the paper.




There is such a beautiful sentiment included with these stamps that I just had to use it.  This time I stamped out the sentiment and then cut them out into strips (I used to do this a lot when scrapbooked).  This then gave me the freedom to place in different places. I did this twice so I could use on both cards. 

The Sympathy sentiment is heat embossed, I stamped with a black ink then put fine clear embossing powder over it (it's very hard getting a nice crisp line with black embossing powder, so it worth stamping with a fine black ink and using clear on top). 



As you can see also the same colours and elements have been used its give a totally different look. Leave a comment telling me which you prefer!

As you may know every month Sweet Sentiment Stamps have a flower stamp realise, and this month its called Calming Clematis.  Here I've made a DL card using these stamps, I did do a practise run first to get the colours right using my copic's as well for a change. There is also a watercolour wash in the background just to help the flowers pop. Calming Clematis so easy to use for all occasions

I so love the flower stamps from Sweet Sentiment Stamps as they are so easy to use and to change.  Here I've coloured Calming Clematis using water colours again in yellow's for a more autumn tone which I've cut out with my Scan'n'Cut with a 3mm boarder. It's time for the new Sweet Sentiment Stamps Release...

Have you been waiting for the Christmas stamps from Sweet Sentiment Stamps, then your wait is over.  What I love about the ethos with Sweet Sentiment Stamps is that they try and do stamps that can be use for other occasions.  A lot of the time simply changing the colours can give a totally different look and feel.  My first card is the lovely Playful Poinsettia, which can be used in so many different ways. Here I've stamped and embossed onto coloured paper, I then cut this out and then I've scanned that in.
