Affable Anemone done two ways

Image
The new stamps from Sweet Sentiment Stamps Affable Anemone is so versatile. I love having a play with flower stamps and this time I have also had a play around with the layout using the same colours etc. I am please with how these have turned out but I can't make my mind up which I prefer.   I started by stamping out these stamps using my stamp press and masks, I did the landscape version first and was looking at it and thought it would also work on its side (I usually do a copy of versions when I do stamping as it mains I have one to fall back on if I don't like how it colours up). At the moment I'm into using my watercolour paints and love the look you get from it. I also did a wash in the back ground just to soften the paper. There is such a beautiful sentiment included with these stamps that I just had to use it.  This time I stamped out the sentiment and then cut them out into strips (I used to do this a lot when scrapbooked).  This then gave me the freedom to p...

Trip to the Farm

Image
Who doesn't love a trip to the farm! I think we can all remember as a kid going to see farm animals.  Here we have a new stamp set from Sweet Sentiment Stamps called Cluck It!   I've used the cow and pig here the tractor, trailer and barn are from a scrapbooking kit I already owned, unfortunately the company is nolonger trading but a quick Google search will list loads you can get. Just be aware of copyright, if you want to be safe then only buy from places like Creative Fabrica or Design Bungles as these come with a commercial licence so you know you are okay to sell etc.  I used the barn as my card I just cut 2 then scored the top inch of the bottom one and glued them together, this would fit in a 8inch envelope.  https://www.sweetsentiment.us/ https://www.facebook.com/Judecreates1/ https://www.facebook.com/sharonscraftyplace

It's Release Weekend at Sweet Sentiment Stamps

Image
This month we have a beautiful flower to add to your collection called Affable Anemone.  What's lovely about this flower is its so versatile, simply changing the colouring and you have a new flower, make this fit whatever style of flower you need.  I'm thinking these could be made into a Christmas Rose very easily. I've been playing with my watercolour paints again so this shows a quick and easy way to colour in these flowers. I love the leaves that come with this set to again these can be used with other flowers. Thing to do is just have a play, if you want to do realistic flower do a google search and use a photo as a reference.  If you aren't bothered if its correctly coloured then you do your version.  https://www.sweetsentiment.us/ https://www.facebook.com/Judecreates1/ https://www.facebook.com/sharonscraftyplace

Not the end of the Dinosaurs!

Image
I've had another play with the fab Dinosaur range from Sweet Sentiment Stamps, using Rawr I've used the T-Rex this time.  I have used the Polkadoodles Sticks & Bones digital kit again for the background. I hope this show's you how easy it is to incorporate digital and physical stamps together.  This would make a fab card for a little boys birthday. polkadoodles.co.uk/sticks-bones https://www.sweetsentiment.us/ https://www.facebook.com/Judecreates1/ https://www.facebook.com/sharonscraftyplace

Don't be a Dinosaur!

Image
The dinosaurs are still going strong over at Sweet Sentiment Stamps. Here I have created a A5 card with a group of the dinosaurs (stamps used from the RAWR collection), coloured using my Tri-Blend Pens again.  This time I colour one girl in pink as she's is the leader, and rest are in blue.  I love this sentiment too, as it makes you think.  You don't always need to make a background for your cards if you already have either a paper or digital kit. I made this background using the digital collection called Sticks and Bones from Polkadoodles. What I love about these digital kits is you get black and white as well as coloured images to play with. I use a old graphics software called Serif CraftArtist 2, this lets me come up with a with a background that I can then print off and just stick my stamped images too.   You don't have to stick to one brand when making a card etc mix your brands up use that stash you've got. Just be mindful when posting a photo within a g...
